“Designing the Revolution” explores how graphic design has fueled Black activism, from the Harlem Renaissance to today. Inspired by Aaron Douglas, the cover uses his signature silhouettes, lighting , and Egyptian-like figures to show design as a tool for liberation.
For the back cover, I drew inspiration from Afrofuturism, a movement in the 1970s that involves art, music, and storytelling.
